英语晨读诗歌欣赏：旅途　　One day you finally knew
　　what you had to do, and began,
　　though the voices around you
5 V) ~) f6 @, \) ]0 ^　　kept shouting
　　their bad advice--
　　有一天，你终于知道，
7 Q1 m' `- d' ]6 R: n' n　　什么是你必须得做，并开始去做，
! t* {* `) l4 [　　虽然你周围的声音，
　　一直喊出，
　　其各种糟糕的建议——
　　though the whole house
　　began to tremble
　　and you felt the old tug
　　at your ankles.
　　“Mend my life!”
　　each voice cried.
; U# R" e1 [. J6 Q& j　　But you didn’t stop.
* Y) B) l( X1 y　　You knew what you had to do,
　　虽然整个房子，
. P2 T7 \: X, j9 q　　开始颤抖，
　　你亦感到那条旧绳索，
　　绊住了你的脚踝。
/ \4 x1 k! l5 Q+ h9 z$ J+ g. b　　“修补我的人生!”
" ~- h- F7 W: W, a" Q- B. `! l( l　　每个声音都在哭喊。
　　但你并没停止。
, e* A- z$ [4 i　　你知道什么是你必须得做的，

　　though the wind pried
* ^$ d! C% N% b, Z7 W; c　　with its stiff fingers
　　at the very foundation
　　though their melancholy
" s0 c9 N/ i+ D  B5 Z7 g! ~# d　　was terrible.
# K- t/ K: z+ |1 w, u* L5 e8 T( H　　It was already late
　　enough, and a wild night,
　　and the road full of fallen
# ]; p  x3 Z/ B& r  Q/ U: Z4 @　　branches and stones.
　　虽然风用它僵硬的手指，
　　直往根基，
5 o8 p) D0 J3 k5 ]$ |8 X　　撬捣，
　　虽然它们的忧郁，
  ?! i$ p7 y9 t; W9 o　　着实可怕。
　　天色，
4 I4 L2 p, ^/ _. l　　已经很晚，这是个疯狂的夜晚，
1 s6 \0 ?  i! E/ w: @　　路上满是倒下的，

　　But little by little,

　　through the sheets of clouds

　　which you slowly
7 ^5 j+ P% d0 z; A: \" V　　recognized as your own,
　　that kept you company
' K  ?+ y& z# W9 `. W　　as you strode deeper and deeper
& f" I; Y5 e/ G6 u1 D/ \3 C$ ?+ Q　　into the world,
! U. M' g- f: F. D& Y　　determined to do
　　the only thing you could do--
1 J. D$ s4 P+ O* J5 `0 W4 B( T　　determined to save
　　the only life you could save.
